What do you do when your zoo doesn't have pandas? Well, the Taizhou Zoo in Jiangsu, China, came up with a hilarious idea - dress up some dogs as pandas and put on a show.
I mean, why is that "panda" barking? I thought it might have picked up a foreign language, but turns out it just got a makeover.
Believe it or not, these round, fluffy dogs do bear a slight resemblance to pandas when they were young, and the visitors couldn't stop laughing at their antics.
The dogs really put on a show, prancing around and wagging their tails, making you almost hear them say, "I'm a panda, fooling you as a pup!"
The zoo was pretty upfront about the whole thing, admitting that the dogs dressed as pandas were actually Chow Chows they imported, even labeling the event as a "Panda Dog Meet and Greet" on the tickets.
It's not that they can't afford pandas, but dogs offer more bang for the buck. And it's not just in China - zoos worldwide have come up with similar creative ideas that are just as mind-boggling.
For instance, there have been zoos that showcased panda crocodiles, simply by painting the crocs in black and white, and there have even been panda elephants...
In the end... it's clear to see how much humans adore pandas.
