Regarding this auction, Zhou Hongyi responded to rumors circulating online that the Maybach auction was planned, stating that it was absolutely not planned.
He mentioned that all the proceeds from the auction, after deducting taxes and fees, will be donated to charity for public welfare, without keeping a single penny for himself.
"The auction was not planned at all, and the final price it sold for was completely unexpected to me. So when the host asked how I felt, it wasn't joy or happiness, but rather a bit bewildered," Zhou Hongyi said.
Furthermore, addressing the discussions sparked on the internet about "Chu Hui owes 9.9 million RMB for the Maybach auction," Zhou Hongyi confirmed that he has already received the 9.9 million RMB payment.
In Zhou Hongyi's view, selling the Maybach was to prove that domestically produced new energy vehicles will become the first choice for entrepreneurs and consumers.
Currently, Zhou Hongyi's second-hand Maybach has finally been auctioned off. Both he and the auctioneer Chu have received a lot of attention, perhaps creating a win-win situation.
