On April 22, Zhou Hongyi, the chairman of 360, released a video last night discussing the recent incident where Ji Yue Automotive fired an employee for purchasing a Xiaomi car.

Zhou firmly stood by the employee, asserting that using one’s own money to experience a competitor’s product should be highly commended rather than criticized. s_c8384a34727e45b9aee6f2a4fd56b5d2.png Recently, an employee of Extreme Motors, who identifies online as "Da Yao Tok," claimed he was fired for purchasing a Xiaomi SU7 vehicle, citing a breach of non-compete clause. This incident quickly attracted public attention and sparked various opinions.

Extreme Motors clarified and responded to the incident, stating that the real reason for the employee's dismissal was not his purchase of a Xiaomi car, but rather his promotion of a competitor's products while on duty and repeatedly being absent without leave. These actions severely violated professional ethics and company policies.

In their statement, Extreme Motors detailed the behavior of "Da Yao Tok," including registering multiple social media accounts in his own name, long-term management of car enthusiast groups for the Xiaomi brand, and exclusively promoting Xiaomi models. This behavior went beyond his job responsibilities, had elements of independent media activities, and directly conflicted with his job duties. s_66cd1c7f881346a796b1b0f1f17824bc.jpg
