Recently, the 2024 celebration of International Labor Day and the National Labor Day Awards Ceremony honoring national worker pioneers was held in Beijing. Zeng Yusheng from China Communications Second Navigation Bureau was awarded the National Labor Day Medal.

Zeng Yusheng, an employee of the Fourth Company of the Second Aviation Bureau of China Communications, is a senior technician and engineering machinery engineer. Joining the workforce in July 2001 as a migrant worker, he has transformed from an ordinary employee to an expert in mechanical aspects of bridge construction.
Coming from a humble background without a high education or a privileged start, Zeng Yusheng embarked on a path of transformation driven by his innate simplicity and dedication.
"Construction work is tiring, but the income is decent," initially, Zeng Yusheng "boarded the cloud that took him away from home to unknown construction sites." Gradually, project leaders noticed his ability to improve on-site construction plans, completing work quickly and efficiently, leading to his invitation to join the Second Aviation Bureau.
Thus, he became an ordinary operator, firmly establishing himself within the Second Aviation Bureau. Over the past decade, he has been involved in various projects such as the Wuhan Fuhe Bridge, the Wuhan East-West Lake 107 National Road renovation project, the Ganjiang Bridge, the Wuhan Yangluo Changjiang Bridge, and the Hewu Railway. He has always been the hardest worker on-site. Whenever equipment malfunctions, he promptly investigates, records, and analyzes the situation, summarizing solutions and never missing a chance to learn and improve. In his spare time, he dedicates his "entertainment time" to self-improvement through studying theoretical books, continuously enhancing his professional knowledge.
With dedication to his craft, years of learning and practice have led Zeng Yusheng to excel in his role.
In 2010, in Hainan, he integrated the hoist brake control system into the inverter control loop, resolving the issue of the DF450 bridge machine's hoist brake failing to engage when the hoist stops running;
In 2013, he added a buffering function to the walking mechanism, addressing the issue of excessive vibration of the bridge machine due to abrupt stops;
Close to the Chinese New Year in 2015, he changed his return ticket home to swiftly assist in the electrical work for the equipment installation and commissioning phase of the Ninggao High-speed Railway project, leading two employees, staying and working on-site, working continuously to complete equipment modifications in four days and all bridge machine line layout and commissioning tasks in three days;
Currently, he serves as the gold medal electrician of the Fourth Company of the Second Aviation Bureau, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 1800-ton bridge deck crane for the Changtai Bridge, the largest tonnage bridge deck crane in the country. Under his strict supervision, the installation of 10 pairs of steel beams has been successfully completed.
His independent projects, "Electrical Renovation of the Taiyin TPZ60 Bridge Construction Project" and "Electrical Renovation of the Hainan Huan Dao Railway DF450 Running and Construction Project," have both won the Third Prize for "Five Small Technological Achievements" at the Second Aviation Bureau. In 2016, he was honored with the title of "Top Ten Migrant Workers" in the Fourth Hubei Province Awards.
