Zeng Li, a Miao ethnic woman born in June 1969 in Kaili, Guizhou, is a member of the Zhigong Party, holding a Ph.D. and the position of a professor. Currently, she serves as the President of Anshun College and concurrently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Zhigong Party.
In addition to her academic roles, Zeng Li is a standing committee member of the 13th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a representative of the 13th National People's Congress. She has also served as an education inspector for the 6th and 7th sessions of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government and is a specialist member of the Guizhou Province Intelligence Support Team for border areas.
Zeng Li has led various research projects, including the National Social Science Fund project on "Collection, Compilation, and Research of Southeast Asian Miao Literature," and key projects such as the Ministry of Education's International Chinese Education Chinese Proficiency Level Standards. She has contributed to multiple publications in journals like "Foreign Language Teaching and Research," "Research on Nationalities Education," and "Comparative Education Research." Her research primarily focuses on language and applied linguistics, as well as regional and country-specific studies.
Her leadership in organizing and drafting various research reports has earned commendations and approvals from provincial leaders.
Educational and Professional Experience
From September 1998 to July 2002, I pursued my graduate studies at the School of Foreign Languages, Guizhou Normal University, where I earned a Master's degree in Education.
From September 2003 to July 2005, I studied abroad at the University of Luton, United Kingdom, and obtained a Master's degree in Literature.
Between September 2007 and June 2010, I attended Southwest University's School of Foreign Languages and received a PhD in Literature.
I've been an Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Guizhou University of Ethnic Minorities, also serving as the Head of the Foreign Languages Department at the School of Humanities and Science, Guizhou University of Ethnic Minorities, recognized as a key educator at the institution.
In July 2005, I was appointed Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Guizhou University of Ethnic Minorities.
On the morning of January 31, 2018, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 13th People's Congress of Guizhou Province was held. During this session, I was elected as a representative for Guizhou Province at the 13th National People's Congress. I also became a member of the 13th Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
In July 2020, I took on the role of Vice President of Guizhou Normal University (on a one-year probationary period).
In May 2022, I was elected as the Vice Chairperson of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party.
As of March 2024, I serve as the President of Anshun University.
