Yunnan Province Announces: 6-Day Holiday for Dragon Boat Festival, No Make-Up Days Needed!

This year, the Dragon Boat Festival falls on Monday, June 10th, so there is no need for make-up days. People can enjoy a 3-day continuous break, but friends in Wenshan, Yunnan, can have a 6-day holiday without make-up days!

According to the notice from the People's Government Office of the Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Wenshan, Yunnan, the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on June 10th will be followed by the "Nao Douyang" ethnic festival holiday from June 11th to 13th, totaling 6 days.

Other unique holidays in the second half of the year in Yunnan include:

Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture

Prefecture Establishment Anniversary: August 22nd to 23rd holiday, combined with the weekend.

Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture

Torch Festival: July 29th to 31st holiday, 3 days in total, combined with the weekend of July 27th (Saturday) and July 28th (Sunday).

Yi New Year: December 21st to 24th holiday, 4 days in total.

Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture

Prefecture Establishment Anniversary: November 22nd to 23rd holiday, combined with the weekend.

Additionally, it is worth noting that according to the "Notice on the Implementation Plan for Free Passage of Small Passenger Cars during Major Holidays forwarded by the State Council to the Ministry of Transport and other departments," the toll-free period on highways is during the four national statutory holidays of Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, and National Day.
