On March 20th, Huawei's Smart Car Solutions BU Chairman Yu Chengdong announced at the China EV 100 Forum that Changan Automobile's Deep Blue Auto will adopt Huawei's HI (Huawei Inside) model.
Currently, Huawei's automotive business models primarily include the components model, the HI model, and the smart selection car model.
Of these, the HI model involves providing Huawei's full-stack smart car solutions to automakers with strong technical capabilities. Changan Automobile's Avatr brand has adopted the HI model.
Changan Automobile Chairman Zhu Huarong said: "Avatr's choice of Huawei's HI model is a wise move that aligns with industry trends and policies." This partnership model safeguards user interests and showcases the strong combination and complementary advantages of Changan and Huawei.
Yu Chengdong revealed that Dongfeng Motor's Voyah and Mengshi, which signed agreements earlier this year, will also adopt the HI model for cooperation.
Furthermore, Yu Chengdong stated that Huawei's auto business unit lost 6 billion CNY last year, but is expected to turn a profit this year. He said: "The auto business unit is expected to become profitable after April this year, entering a virtuous cycle."
