On April 16th, a widely circulated short video on the internet has sparked attention, showing scenes inside a train sleeper carriage.

In the video, a woman films young passengers hanging curtains on the lower bunks, claiming they refused to let a 70-year-old sit down, and asks netizens to "judge." Both lower bunks in the video have curtains hung up. Despite the accusations, the young passengers behind the curtains did not respond.

The customer service of China Railway 12306 responded, stating, "There is no explicit prohibition on using curtains in the carriage as long as it does not inconvenience other passengers."

Railway staff reiterated that there are no specific regulations prohibiting the use of curtains in passenger carriage management rules. As long as it does not affect safety and other aspects, they will not intervene in management.

Lawyers also point out that after purchasing a ticket, the right to use the corresponding seat is limited to the ticket holder. Without their permission, no one else should sit there.

China National Radio commented on the issue, stating that the young people's emphasis on personal space and the sensitivity to the right of use will gradually become a mainstream consciousness. Society should affirm this change in mindset, which is a reflection of social progress. Public services should recognize and respect this new trend, clearing up ambiguous areas from the source of resource allocation.

In recent years, the railway department has introduced many characteristic services to meet social needs, such as the widespread adoption of "quiet carriages," which have received widespread praise. Considering this new trend, it might be worth considering improving the design of sleeper carriages as well. Making boundaries clearer and reducing disputes between passengers should be the direction of improvement in public transportation. s_45ca0590d18f40fb9013a2ca3dda94b1.jpg
