On April 15th, a young man born after 2000 in Xinxiang, Henan Province, was stung by his own bees, resulting in "sausage lips," which attracted attention from netizens.

After graduating from college, this young man chose to return to his hometown and follow in his father's footsteps by engaging in beekeeping. He proudly refers to himself as the "third-generation beekeeper," inheriting the profession from his ancestors and father.

In a video recording of one beekeeping session, he unfortunately got stung on the lips by a bee, causing rapid swelling. Coincidentally, he was attacked by bees again while tasting honey, resulting in both his upper and lower lips swelling like "sausages."

He remarked, "Now even drinking water is a problem." He jokingly added, "Maybe I'll never reconcile with the bees in my family."

What should you do if stung by a bee? First, remove the bee sting, then apply cold water or ice wrapped in cloth to the wound, which can help reduce swelling and pain.

Next, taking antihistamines (such as diphenhydramine) can help relieve itching and allergic reactions. For pain, ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be considered.

Most people have mild reactions after being stung by bees, but some may be allergic to bee venom, leading to severe allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, facial or throat swelling, etc. If these symptoms occur, seek medical help immediately. s_3a20156aa9a64dadb816183eeec415bb.png
