On April 15th, Pulsestacks reported that NetEase Youdao unveiled the Youdao Dictionary Pen S6 Pro today, featuring a 45 million-word database covering various academic subjects. It supports AI-powered grammar explanations and AI-based essay corrections, all for a price of 599 CNY.
Compared to its predecessor, the Youdao Dictionary Pen S6, the S6 Pro features an upgraded screen size from 2.39 inches to 3.02 inches. The dictionary database has also been upgraded, with the official claim of including "essential dictionaries from small to large." The Youdao Dictionary Pen S6 Pro covers 28,000 key and difficult points across nine major subjects, allowing users to "memorize with just a stroke of the pen."
The Youdao Dictionary Pen S6 Pro has added many AI features. In Chinese, it now includes AI explanations for characters and words, as well as AI explanations for classical Chinese texts. In English, building upon previous AI oral practice, it has added AI explanations for words and grammar. Additionally, the Youdao Dictionary Pen S6 Pro supports essay correction, able to identify grammar errors in compositions and provide scores.
