In the ever-dynamic realm of smartphones, verbal jousts are as common as software updates. And now, Xiaomi and OnePlus have locked horns in a spat that's raising eyebrows across the tech world.

It all began when Xiaomi's yet-to-be-officially-launched Redmi Turbo 3 spilled the beans on some performance benchmarks ahead of schedule. However, certain gaming metrics fell short compared to OnePlus Ace 3V. Xiaomi swiftly accused OnePlus of playing clever by possibly tinkering with brightness or graphics surreptitiously. Not one to take it lying down, OnePlus fired back, accusing Xiaomi of merely resorting to flashy marketing gimmicks.

Positioned as the "next-gen performance flagship," the Redmi Turbo series aims to bring flagship-grade performance to the mid-range segment. Its debutant, the Redmi Turbo 3, finds itself pitted directly against OnePlus's recently unveiled Ace 3V, setting the stage for an epic showdown. s_72ef15a45c114d20831f4d551f5d9534.jpg

s_3d1963fcf502452dbdfec6c0e51ff8a6.jpg Just appointed as the General Manager of the Redmi brand, Wang Teng is coming in hot, stating bluntly: "Some competitors may secretly reduce brightness or downgrade graphics during testing, but we adhere to the three 'no reduction' principles for gaming experience: no reduction in graphics quality, no reduction in brightness, and no reduction in frame rate. This requires higher tuning standards, and while some test indicators may not be advantageous, we insist on prioritizing user experience!"

Wang Teng also emphasized that for media evaluations, they stick to using the same software version for both media review units and mass-produced units, without resorting to "yin-yang" tuning or dual standards.

He further suggested that certain competitors should stop playing tricks and focus on solid technology, delivering products with integrity.

In response to this unapologetically direct stance, Li Jie, the President of OnePlus China, immediately fired back: "What users want is a genuine performance experience, which is the most important, rather than marketing gimmicks."

He particularly emphasized that OnePlus still leads significantly in gaming performance compared to similar products, without compromising on brightness, graphics quality, or frame rate.

Lastly, Li Jie emphasized the willingness to engage in comparative testing, stating that OnePlus is not afraid of comparisons or tests!
