On May 27th, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun shared an article about Xiaomi Smart Drive Max. The article pointed out that Xiaomi SU7 Pro comes standard with Xiaomi Smart Drive Max right from the start, making it Xiaomi's most powerful smart driving capability.
According to official sources, Xiaomi's smart driving technology is completely self-developed and marks the first mass production of end-to-end large-scale model technology in China.
End-to-end large models have replaced multiple modules used for perception, decision-making, and planning in the past, allowing intelligent driving to directly input images from one end and output driving trajectories from the other end. Xiaomi's end-to-end large model is currently the most human-like thinking level intelligent driving algorithm, achieving ultra-precise 5cm parking in extremely narrow spaces and a highly usable maximum cruise speed of 23km/h for valet parking.
In addition, the Xiaomi SU7 Pro also supports City Navigation. This feature started beta testing in May. In the first OTA update in May, the Xiaomi SU7 Pro received several smart driving feature updates, including end-to-end technology-based valet parking assistance.
Xiaomi's Smart Driving team has now exceeded 1,000 members. Earlier this year, they established the Autonomous Driving R&D Center in Wuhan and plan to expand it by another 500 people by the end of the year. Xiaomi's Smart Driving aims to join the top ranks of the industry by 2024.
