The impact was so strong that both front airbags deployed, and the windshield cracked in two places. The vehicle activated the SOS system urgently due to the brake pads being worn out, which was the direct cause of the accident.
Following this incident, a video titled "Xiaomi SU7, First Collision Nationwide!" garnered 9.66 million views on Bilibili, indicating its immense popularity. Recently, a sequel titled "Xiaomi SU7 Wall Collision, First Major Repair Online!" was released, revealing the entire repair process and associated costs.
Due to the accident being on the racetrack, the insurance company naturally will not compensate, so this repair will be at the owner's expense.
After being inspected by the 4S staff, the three electronic systems of this accident car are fine. The parts that need to be repaired or replaced are mainly the airbags, seat belts, radiator, condenser, wheels, etc. One might have thought this would cost a lot of money, after all, it's a 4S dealership, and after-sales service is a significant part of their revenue.
However, upon checking the quotation, it turns out that it's actually not expensive at all. For instance, the front wheel brake discs are priced at 666 yuan each, while the rear wheel brake discs are even cheaper at only 465 yuan each. It's really very affordable.
As for why repairing a 4S shop is particularly expensive, the shop owner himself stated that it is mainly because they have their own repair standards and processes. The repairs need to be almost as good as when the car left the factory, so they adhere to the principle of replacing rather than repairing whenever possible, making the overall price much higher.
After several days of repairs and adjustments, the total cost of repairing this car amounted to 50,445 yuan. This price made the shop owner exclaim that it was indeed affordable.
