In response, Xiaomi Automobile has stated: In a half-loaded state (passenger weight of 150kg + luggage weight of 30kg), the maximum water wading depth for the Xiaomi SU7 is 350mm.
This depth is roughly equivalent to the height of the wheel hub. When crossing standing water, it is recommended to keep speeds between 5-7km/h. Exercise even greater caution when traversing flowing water.
If road water depth is uncertain, it is advised to seek alternative routes rather than risk attempting a crossing. In the event of unexpectedly surpassing this depth, contacting after-sales support immediately for vehicle inspection is recommended.
Xiaomi emphasizes that wading through water is solely for emergencies. Users are discouraged from intentionally driving through water, especially at high speeds, to prevent additional safety hazards. Additionally, excessive speed while wading could risk detachment of exterior components and undercarriage shields.
Following water wading, Xiaomi advises users to inspect their vehicle's brakes, horn, power steering, and lights. If any issues arise, contacting Xiaomi Automobile Service Center for inspection is recommended.
