On April 11th, it was reported that many owners of the Xiaomi SU7 found a "Ultra Power Saving Mode" option in the settings, but activating it didn't seem to have any effect, leading to confusion regarding its purpose and triggering mechanism.
In response, Xiaomi clarified in their latest FAQ that the Ultra Power Saving Mode involves the vehicle shutting down advanced driving assistance features, turning off or limiting functions like air conditioning and seat heating for comfort, restricting maximum speed, and reducing overall vehicle acceleration performance. This is aimed at reducing the vehicle's energy consumption and extending its range for longer drives.
When the estimated range of the vehicle is below 50km, a relevant setting popup window and explanation will appear on the central control screen. At this point, the driver can choose whether to enable the Super Power Saving Mode.
Additionally, the Super Power Saving Mode can be manually activated or deactivated at any time during driving.
Once the Super Power Saving Mode is activated through the popup window on the central control screen, it will automatically exit when the vehicle's estimated charging range exceeds 300km.
When the super power-saving mode is activated, both the motor output and auxiliary functions of the vehicle are restricted to maximize the driving range and facilitate locating charging stations.
