Xiaomi SU7's Acceleration Time Differs from Official Data, Xiaomi Responds

On March 30, Xiaomi Automobile shared "Xiaomi SU7 Answers Netizens (Episode 2)" on its official Weibo account, addressing the discrepancy between media-tested acceleration times and official data.

In response to this issue, Xiaomi stated that to eliminate initial interference factors such as tire slip and driver reaction time, zero to hundred acceleration tests generally do not include the starting time. This is a commonly adopted testing method in the industry, which can more purely reflect the vehicle's own performance.

However, media tests include the starting time and take into account factors such as tire condition, road conditions, climate conditions, and driver reaction, leading to slight differences between the actual test data and the official data.

For instance, in media tests, the Xiaomi SU7 Max's zero to hundred acceleration time was 3.09 seconds, compared to the official data of 2.78 seconds; the Tesla Model S Plaid was tested at 2.73 seconds, with official data at 2.1 seconds; the 2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo was tested at 3.44 seconds, with official data at 3.2 seconds.

Furthermore, Xiaomi also mentioned charging pile issues. It is reported that Xiaomi's home charging piles come in 7kW and 11kW versions, with the 11kW version being compatible with the SU7 Max model. This includes the home charging equipment and a basic installation service with 30 meters of cable (for Mainland China). s_998525c438a8423493d2a030c7aee8f4.jpg
