[CNMO Tech News] Xiaomi Mi Band 8 was unveiled on April 18, 2023. Considering the timeline, the next generation, Xiaomi Mi Band 9, might soon make its debut. On April 22, CNMO noted that a well-known informant, "Digital Chatter Station," disclosed that both Xiaomi Mi Band 9 and the latest Xiaomi eSIM smartwatch are currently in preparation.
"Digital Chatter Station" reveals that the Xiaomi Mi Band 9 still requires some time for preparation. On the IoT front, there's comprehensive integration with the Pangolin OS, leading to some adjustments in product refinement progress. The iteration of Xiaomi's eSIM smartwatch is also in the pipeline, featuring an OLED circular dial and a rated battery capacity set at 586mAh, emphasizing extended battery life.
In early March, CNMO noticed that a device with the model number "M2345B1" had passed domestic radio certification. By early April, this same product appeared in the IMDA database. From various pieces of information, it's highly likely that "M2345B1" is none other than the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Band 9. Drawing from the previous generation of Xiaomi Mi Bands, the Mi Band 9 lineup is expected to include variants such as the Mi Band 9, Mi Band 9 NFC, and possibly the Mi Band 9 Pro. While there's no information yet on the Mi Band 9 Pro, the Mi Band 9 and Mi Band 9 NFC are anticipated to be launched together.
Additionally, Xiaomi's eSIM smartwatch has garnered some attention. Last October, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Watch S3 series, which supports eSIM functionality. This product runs on Xiaomi's own Wear OS, emphasizing aesthetics and health features. Currently priced starting at 799 yuan, the pricing of the new product could be similar to that of the Xiaomi Watch S3 series.
