On April 8th, Xiaomi spokesperson released a statement tonight urging Zhi Ji company to immediately clarify and formally apologize to the public they have misled.

Xiaomi stated that Zhi Ji company erroneously labeled key specifications of Xiaomi SU7 Max during tonight's press conference, resulting in extremely negative consequences.

Xiaomi emphasized that both the front and rear motors of Xiaomi SU7 Max are made of silicon carbide, ensuring excellent performance and battery life. s_9a8552f746524bdcb4b1a16ecbc5d7a6.png Xiaomi questions whether the misinformation from Zhiji, a subsidiary of SAIC Group, is due to incompetence or intentional defamation. Despite numerous public reminders from netizens regarding this error, Zhiji has yet to rectify it.

"SAIC Group is a leading enterprise in China's automotive industry, and we hold great respect for them. Zhiji's actions are incompatible with the reputation of SAIC Group, and as peers, we find it incomprehensible," Xiaomi added.

"We welcome healthy competition and exchange, but strongly oppose the dissemination of distorted facts and defamation. We have gathered evidence and are prepared to defend our legitimate rights through legal means." s_dd1cf3ccb3204b28b2c10aaefe68a14d.png Before the spokesperson of Xiaomi issued a statement, Liu Tao, co-CEO of Zhiji Auto, posted an apology on his personal Weibo regarding the matter:

"Due to erroneous research results on product information, there was a mistake in the information presented during the press conference. The Xiaomi SU7, like the Zhiji L6, indeed utilizes SIC silicon carbide modules for both front and rear motors. The Xiaomi SU7 is indeed a respected competitor of ours! I sincerely apologize to Xiaomi Auto and everyone."

Xiaomi responded: "We do not accept informal apologies made lightly by individuals. We once again urge Zhiji Auto to immediately clarify publicly and formally apologize to the public they have misled!" s_2cd843b577b34d37a6de6fcc67959cc7.png
