On March 21, Xiaomi product manager Hu Xinxin announced that the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will be the first in the world to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 platform.
Hou Mingjuan of Qualcomm said that the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 is on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and is positioned as a dual-flagship product, a key offering from Qualcomm for the Year of the Dragon.
The new chip features a solid core configuration, built on TSMC's 4nm process technology. It houses a high-performance Cortex-X4 core clocked at an impressive 3.0GHz, supported by four 2.8GHz performance cores and three 2.0GHz efficiency cores.
Moreover, Snapdragon 8s Gen3 inherits the same GPU architecture as the second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship platform, resulting in excellent power efficiency for gaming. Compared to competing products, the third-generation Snapdragon 8s has a gaming power efficiency that is over 15% higher.
In addition, the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 supports large models with 100 billion parameters and AI-enhanced GPU features, which can be applied to large prediction models such as Baichuan-7B, Gemini Nano, Llama2, and ChatGLM.
