News released on March 19th confirms the official announcement of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, with its official launch scheduled for March 21st.
Official details have been released regarding the design of the new device, starting with the implementation of a full-depth micro-curved display akin to the one found on the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
This display achieves a visually seamless and fluid experience while maintaining the visual benefits of a flat screen, effectively bridging the gap between flat and curved displays.
Crucially, the uniform micro-curved panel with identical R-curves on all four sides gives the impression that the screen is suspended slightly above the surface, eliminating not only the "cat ears" but also reducing unintended touch interactions to near-zero.
The back cover of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro also brings the new-generation Kona leather that is similar to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The material is softer and more skin-friendly, with a calfskin texture. It is dirt-resistant and not easy to age, solving the problem of leather-like phones that are prone to "peeling" in the past.
Previously during the promotion of the 14 Ultra, Xiaomi said that this material has passed the SGS five-star durability certification, and its wear resistance is six times that of the previous generation.
Additionally, the device boasts a Leica image sensor and third-generation Snapdragon 8s, significantly boosting its positioning.
Lu Weibing announced that this time, Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will abandon its previous mid-range fashion positioning to become a fashion flagship, utilizing technology from Xiaomi's 14 series in various aspects.
