Xiaomi Car has finally unveiled the price of its SU7 and begun accepting pre-orders, but deliveries are scheduled for late April to late May. Now, all eyes are on the Xiaomi Car factory.
Situated in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Xiaomi Car factory comprises six core workshops, housing 29 research labs, and a 2.5-kilometer testing track.
With over 700 robots deployed, critical processes have achieved 100% automation. This includes fully automated assembly of the steel-aluminum hybrid chassis, 100% automated fitting of doors, hoods, and fenders, automatic transportation of medium to large-sized components, and industry-leading 7-axis painting robots.
Quality inspection has also been fully automated, with features such as UV light inspection for overall vehicle appearance, laser radar monitoring for chassis integrity, and X-ray AI inspection for integral castings.
Once in full production, on this assembly line, an average of one Xiaomi SU7 rolls off every 76 seconds!
The Xiaomi Car factory also emphasizes green environmental practices, with photovoltaic panels covering the workshop roofs, generating 16.4 million kWh annually. Additionally, the waste gas treatment efficiency reaches 99%, and recycled aluminum materials are utilized in the die casting process.
