On March 13th, Xiaomi Car officially announced that its first model, SU7, will be launched on March 28th. The most anticipated aspect of this car is its price, which has been subject to various rumors and speculations online, all of which have been denied by the official sources.
According to the latest report from Caixin Global, it has been exclusively learned that Xiaomi's new car, the SU7, is currently available in two versions: the standard version and the high-end version. The SU7 Max version is expected to exceed the top configuration of the Weimar M5 (priced at 309,800 CNY).
Xiaomi Car officials have stated that the first vehicles will be delivered as soon as they hit the market. Upon delivery, the focus will be on volume. For those interested in test driving, the vehicles will arrive at the dealership on March 25th. However, on the same day, customers will only be allowed to admire the exterior and will not be able to enter the interior. The actual test driving experience will commence on March 28th.
According to available information, the Xiaomi SU7 is positioned as a mid-sized sedan, measuring 4997mm in length, 1963mm in width, and 1455mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. It competes with models like the Avita 12, ZhiJie S7, and JiKe 001.
Equipped with the HyperEngine V6/V6s super motor jointly developed by Xiaomi, the engine boasts a rotation speed of up to 21000rpm. The Max version features dual-motor all-wheel drive, delivering a total power output of 495kW and a peak torque of 838N·m, which rivals the performance of a 4.0-liter turbocharged engine in a sports car.
The Xiaomi SU7 comes equipped with Xiaomi's proprietary CTB integrated battery, featuring the world's first inverted cell design. With CLTC driving conditions, it boasts impressive ranges of 668km and 800km respectively. The MAX edition offers a rapid 800V supercharging capability, providing an astounding 220km of range with just 5 minutes of charging.
Notably, the Xiaomi SU7 also offers a variant powered by a single motor paired with lithium iron phosphate batteries. This version has already been filed for approval and might serve as the entry-level model, catering to young Xiaomi enthusiasts with limited budgets.
