On April 8th, the fervor surrounding Xiaomi's SU7 continues to soar, with orders now facing a wait of at least six months for delivery.
According to information previously displayed on the Xiaomi Car app, it's estimated that the Xiaomi SU7 Max will require 29 to 32 weeks from the date of order locking for delivery. Considering we're already in April, a 32-week wait almost pushes delivery into 2025.
Both the Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Pro versions are facing significant delivery pressures, with an expected lead time of up to 26 weeks for the former and 27 weeks for the latter.
In such a tight supply situation, the previously released 5000 units of the Founder's Edition have become especially sought after. Recently, on a certain platform, a used Xiaomi SU7 Max Founder's Edition was listed at 349,800 CNY, with a mileage of 300 kilometers.
In response to this, a journalist queried the used car dealer, who revealed, "The Founder's Edition model is extremely sought after. I spent 20,000 CNY to purchase an order and another 300,000 CNY to buy this car, plus the cost of funds, the cost of this car is quite considerable."
The owner of the car also stated, "I just got the license plate these days, otherwise I wouldn't have stock now. It's almost impossible to find this model online. We just drove the car back from the delivery center and haven't moved it since. There have been nearly 200 people interested in this car."
Lei Jun previously stated that Xiaomi's SU7 was sold at a loss.
