On May 3rd, it was reported that a new device with the model number "2405AVPB7C" under Xiaomi has entered the network with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, supporting the TianTong satellite communication system.
Combining with previous leaks, this new device is highly likely to be Xiaomi's first vertical folding flagship - the Xiaomi MIX Flip.
Previously leaked information suggests that the high-end version of the device will support satellite communication, ensuring continuous connectivity in emergency situations, which is currently a standard feature in mainstream high-end flagship devices.
On the other hand, the lower-end version will exclude the satellite communication system, resulting in a relatively lower price, allowing users to choose according to their own needs.
On other aspects, the MIX Flip will also use a domestically produced screen, along with zero-feel folding technology to make the screen at the fold smoother.
In terms of design, it adopts a dual-screen solution, with a secondary screen displayed after folding for showing notifications, weather, and other information, eliminating the need to flip open every time to check.
According to the leaked design drawings, the rear secondary screen of the Xiaomi MIX Flip will be relatively large, capable of displaying more useful information, making it more practical.
Above the secondary screen is equipped with a Leica imaging system, arranged horizontally, likely to set a new benchmark for vertical folding imaging.
