Xiamen University Adds Two New Vice Presidents

Yancheng You

Formal

Dr. Yancheng You is currently a Professor and recipient of the Yangtze River Scholar Award by the Chinese Ministry of Education. He supervises PhD candidates and his research areas include: Aerodynamics, aircraft design, and air-breathing engine intake/exhaust system technology.

Colloquial

Dr. You received his B.S. in Aircraft Propulsion Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in 2003. In 2008, he obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Propulsion Theory and Engineering from NUAA.

From April 2009 to February 2012, he worked as a full-time Research Scientist at the Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Between 2010-2011, he visited the Georgia Institute of Technology, von Kármán Institute for Fluid Dynamics, and Göttingen Institute for Applied Dynamics.
