On March 27th, according to an official WeChat post by "State-owned Assets News," at the 2024 China International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry Expo, the world-class Green Hydrogen Ecological Innovation Zone project "Hydrogen Continent" was officially unveiled. The National Energy Group will collaborate with Erdos City in Inner Mongolia to establish a leading global benchmark for green hydrogen projects and a core node for the national strategy of transporting hydrogen from the west to the east of China. The project's main focus is to create a global-leading renewable energy hydrogen production base, with a large-scale development model that will drive rapid progress in the entire hydrogen energy industry. With a daily production capacity of over 700 tons of green hydrogen, it not only demonstrates China's strong capabilities in hydrogen production but also provides a significant boost to the global energy structure transition. s_6fd3164e722549d68096afcfc257ed2e.jpg Furthermore, the "Hydrogen Continent" project has filled a domestic gap in hydrogen energy technology and standard testing demonstration bases. It established China's first green hydrogen energy key equipment testing and demonstration base and successfully implemented multiple national key R&D programs. This has not only enhanced China's R&D capabilities in the hydrogen energy field but also provided solid technical support for the healthy development of the hydrogen energy industry. Notably, the project aims to create the world's first hydrogen-energy-centric technology innovation demonstration base. Through in-depth cooperation with domestic innovation institutions like the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance Research Institute and the team of Academician Ouyang Minggao, it seeks to build a globally leading technology innovation system to further drive the innovative development of the hydrogen energy industry. Additionally, the "Hydrogen Continent" project actively engages in international exchanges and cooperation. It collaborates with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges to build an international demonstration cooperation platform for green hydrogen energy. This initiative aims to promote the sustainable development demonstration of green hydrogen energy and continuously exert international influence. As a benchmark demonstration project, "Hydrogen Continent" not only sets high standards in cost, storage, transport, scale, and application scenarios but also plans to replicate and promote these practices in similar regions such as Qinghai, Gansu, and Xinjiang in the future. It even aims to achieve global implementation through the Belt and Road international cooperation. This strategic layout not only aids in the rapid development of China's hydrogen energy industry but also provides strong support for the construction of China's trillion-yuan scale hydrogen energy industry cluster. s_9faeb74dc7f24e0c94cfbdc5971e7ebb.jpg
