Recently, an unexpected event occurred on the Beijing-Taiwan expressway, where a vehicle transporting silver ingots accidentally spilled onto the road, resulting in damage to a trailing vehicle.
According to footage, a driver inadvertently dropped a batch of silver ingots while driving, unaware of the mishap, and continued on. It wasn't until one of the ingots was crushed by passing vehicles, bouncing up and striking the rear of a sedan, that the accident was discovered. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Reportedly, the total weight of the spilled silver ingots exceeded 400 pounds, valued at a staggering 800,000 CNY. After being lost for 20 hours, the owner of the ingots discovered the loss and promptly returned them in full.
Regarding the vehicle damage caused by the spilled ingots, the parties involved have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the traffic police department for compensation.
