The pyramids are well-known, but due to strict restrictions on reaching the top, there are very few pictures of the pyramid's peak available online.
This image shows the recent aerial view of the top structure of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is a platform with a side length of 11 meters, rather than the pointed top we usually imagine.
However, historical records suggest it was originally planned to be a 4.88-meter platform intended for a sun temple or a similar ceremonial site.
It is possible that it was never completed, hence why it stands as an 11-meter platform today.
