Next, "Fu Bao" will be staying at the quarantine area of the Wolong Shenshuping Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Pandas. Multiple task forces will collaborate to ensure that "Fu Bao" safely passes through the isolation period in good health.
Sources reveal that the final residence for "Fubao" following the conclusion of her quarantine remains undecided. However, it is confirmed that "Fubao" will be accommodated at one of the four bases affiliated with the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda: the Wolong Shenshuping Base, the Wolong Hetaoping Base, the Dujiangyan Base, or the Ya'an Base.
Fubao is a female giant panda born on July 20, 2020, at Everland Resort in South Korea. Her father, Yuan Xin, was born on July 28, 2012, at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in the Ya'an Bifengxia Base. Her mother, Hua Ni, was born on July 13, 2013, at the same facility. In February 2024, Fubao was awarded an honorary citizenship by the city of Yongin in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
