Last November, vivo unveiled its flagship smartphones, the vivo X100 and vivo X100 Pro. However, the much-anticipated larger variant in the vivo X100 series was conspicuously absent from the lineup.
Since then, there have been numerous rumors circulating about this new device, but there hasn't been any concrete information regarding its release date. Now, the latest leaks have finally shed light on when this new product will be unveiled.
In the latest leak from blogger @DigitalChatterStation, it's revealed that the upcoming flagship phone from vivo, codenamed "Thanos" in the X100 series, will officially be named the vivo X100 Ultra. The new vivo X100 Ultra is set to be launched next month and promises to come with formidable performance capabilities.
Vivo's Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, Jia Jingdong, recently responded to a question from a netizen about whether the Vivo X100 Ultra would be released next month with a simple "yes."
Additionally, Vivo's Vice President, Huang Tao, stated: "Everyone keeps asking about the 'Snapdragon', and we sincerely appreciate your attention and support. Just like you, we are eager for it. However, the 'Snapdragon' is quite the 'Snapdragon'. It's no exaggeration to say that we've essentially made a professional camera that can make phone calls. So, we need to overcome various technical challenges one by one. We hope for your understanding. Finally, it's almost time to unveil it to everyone. Just a couple of months away. We hope everyone can hold on."
Based on current leaks, the vivo X100 Ultra is set to feature a 50-megapixel LYT900 one-inch main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The telephoto lens boasts an aperture ranging from f/1.75 to f/2.59 and a 14mm-85mm zoom capability.
Additionally, the vivo X100 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor and sport a Samsung 2K E7 curved display. Its design is expected to remain largely unchanged, likely with a glass body, and support bi-directional satellite communication.
Two new vivo smartphones, with model numbers V2359A and V2324HA, alongside the vivo X100 Ultra, have recently completed the MIIT certification, radio certification, and 3C certification. These are anticipated to be the vivo X100s and vivo X100s Pro.
According to certification information, the vivo X100s boasts 120W fast charging, while the vivo X100s Pro supports 100W fast charging.
Leaked information suggests that the vivo X100s Pro will feature the Dimensity 9300+ processor, coupled with a rear camera setup comprising the IMX989, JN1, and OV64B 100mm APO lenses. It will house a 5400mAh battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
Reportedly, the Dimensity 9300+ boasts a CPU configuration of 1×3.4GHz Cortex-X4 + 3×2.85GHz Cortex-X4 + 4×2.0GHz A720, with an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU.
According to leaks, the vivo X100s is expected to feature the Dimensity 9300+ processor, along with a 1.5K ultra-narrow straight screen. It adopts a design with a metal frame combined with a glass body, available in four colors: white, black, green, and titanium. The device boasts a premium texture, and it's rumored to house a battery of around 5000mAh, along with a short-focus optical fingerprint sensor.
For reference, the previously released models in the same series, the vivo X100 and vivo X100 Pro, both feature a 6.78-inch curved display and are powered by the Dimensity 9300 processor.
The vivo X100 comes with an equivalent 5000mAh Blue Ocean battery, supporting 120W fast charging; while the vivo X100 Pro is equipped with an equivalent 5400mAh Blue Ocean battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
In terms of imaging, the vivo X100 boasts a front-facing 32-megapixel camera and a rear setup comprising a 50-megapixel ultra-sensitive VCS bio-main camera, a 64-megapixel Zeiss super telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Meanwhile, the vivo X100 Pro features a 32-megapixel front camera and a rear setup consisting of a 50-megapixel precision leap 1-inch main camera, a 50-megapixel Zeiss APO super telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
