Pulsestacks reports on April 22 that according to Jiemian News, who claims exclusive inside information from vivo, the company is set to launch its self-developed imaging brand named BlueImage. This new brand is expected to make its debut on the upcoming vivo X100 Ultra.

Public records reveal that the BlueImage imaging trademark was registered on November 14, 2023, covering a range of imaging-related products including graphics processors, optical lenses, and sensors. The launch of BlueImage signifies the creation of the second independent imaging brand in the smartphone industry, following Huawei's XMAGE.

Digital bloggers such as @ShumaXianliaoZhan have disclosed that the X100 Ultra, referred to as vivo’s "Thanos" model, is scheduled for release in May.

Previous leaks suggest that the X100 Ultra will feature a 2K E7 Samsung display with full 1440Hz PWM dimming. Moreover, the new flagship is expected to be equipped with a 50Mp LYT900 main camera with a one-inch sensor, a 50Mp ultra-wide camera with a new sensor, and a 200Mp periscope telephoto lens, all housed in a glass body.

In addition to standard features, this new Android device is also expected to support bidirectional satellite communication, a feature that has become almost standard in domestic flagship smartphones this year. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0418%2Fae754ad6j00sc4p75005md000z700nhg.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg vivo X100 Pro: A Visual Treat

For reference, the vivo X100 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor, featuring a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800x1260. It boasts a built-in 5400mAh battery (typical value) and supports 100W wired charging along with 50W wireless charging. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.75), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens (f/2.0), and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens (f/2.5). Both the primary and periscope lenses feature optical image stabilization (OIS), with the periscope lens supporting 4.3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
