Following the initial release on April 2nd, the new version bears the internal build number 21O5565d, replacing the previous 21O5555e. While specific updates are not detailed, release notes indicate fixes for FaceSystem call synchronization and notification interruption issues in certain apps.
Previously, the upgrade to visionOS 1.1 introduced new features such as mobile device management support, contact key verification, password changes, and optimizations for StoreKit, Swift UI, character generation logic, and EyeSight graphics.
visionOS 1.2 Second Developer Beta Released
To experience the visionOS beta, users need to register for an Apple Developer account, which can be of the free variety. Once registered, installing the beta on Apple Vision Pro hardware is relatively straightforward: navigate to "Settings" > "General" > enable "Beta Software Updates" > select "visionOS Developer Beta."
Additionally, developers can test the updated visionOS beta in the simulator within Xcode.
It's worth noting that currently there's no official way to roll back from the visionOS beta to the stable version, unless users possess developer-specific devices. Therefore, it's advisable for non-developers to refrain from using the visionOS beta.
