Exciting news in the realm of tricolor laser projection! Just as the high-end smart projection market is embracing tricolor laser technology, with many expecting to hear only about price wars for quite some time, the "category master" Vidda is about to unveil a new "combination punch."

Recently, Vidda officially announced on its official Weibo account that it will hold the "Vidda 2024 AI TV & Tricolor Laser Projection New Product Launch Event" on May 8 at 19:00. Get ready for the highly anticipated new product of the year to hit the market. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0429%2Faff278c2j00scoy0y004jd000xc01n9m.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg At the current stage of the projection market, Vidda's latest news arrives at just the right moment. It seems to have tapped into user expectations while maintaining its own pace: currently, updating once a year with only best-selling products has become Vidda's habit.

Over the past year, the household smart projection market has not been very prosperous.

According to the forecast data from Lutu Technology at the beginning of the year, the previously booming domestic smart projection market hit the brakes last year, with sales volume decreasing by 5.1% year-on-year and sales revenue dropping by 17.3%. It's the first time in five years that it has gone into reverse, which is quite worrisome.

However, there is still some good news.

Laser projection, with its "I'll show you" stubborn spirit, saw a 35.5% increase in shipments compared to 2022. Despite the overall consumer electronics market being immersed in a "consumers holding onto their money" atmosphere from 2020 to 2023, laser projection still maintained a compound annual growth rate of 37.7%.

In particular, three-color laser projection saw its product penetration rate reach 60% last year, a 32% increase. Therefore, the development of laser projection, where "the bigger the storm, the more expensive the fish," owes a considerable contribution to three-color laser technology. Following the principle of "effort always pays off," Vidda, as a pioneer in household three-color laser smart projection, saw a 266.84% year-on-year increase in total sales in 2023.

Furthermore, the high-end projection market corresponding to three-color laser technology is also a "growth faction" within the market segmentation.

While Vidda and others are thriving in the projection market with three-color laser technology, more projection brands have recognized both the consumer demand for better high-end projection experiences and the unique advantages of three-color laser in image quality and growth prospects in the high-end market.

Therefore, since last year, more and more brands have joined the three-color laser projection camp: Vidda, JMGO, XGIMI, and DBPower, as well as Leica, Samsung, LG, and others. Using three-color laser projection to strive for greater development space in the projection market, especially in the high-end market, has become a common solution in the industry.

Lutu Technology also optimistically predicts that the domestic smart projection market will see a nearly 6% year-on-year increase in sales volume in 2024, with the market size of household laser projection growing by over 40%. This is largely linked to expectations for the high-end market represented by three-color laser projection.

However, as more players enter the market, a "price war" may become the only action in the future, which is often the "law" of the home appliance market.

Therefore, here comes Vidda again.

In May 2022, Vidda released the world's first 4K three-color laser household smart projection, allowing three-color laser technology to enter daily home entertainment; in May 2023, three products of different positioning formed the "Three-color Laser Family Bucket," aiming to meet more user needs and be shared by more families.

This time, it's May again, and Vidda is back with a new "combination."

Currently, there seem to be five moves: ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0429%2F1785997cj00scoy0z002vd000yy00qkm.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg (Vidda Official Weibo's "Picture Quality Certification" Vote)

First move, picture quality. Vidda discusses picture quality with netizens on its official Weibo, hinting at IMAX-level technology. This seems to be the most standard move among these tactics, as bringing the cinema experience home and "watching IMAX at home" has always been one of Vidda's goals.

Second move, sound quality. Vidda's official Weibo revealed a deep collaboration with JBL audio, and initiated a vote for the "Enjoy Smart Projection Sound System." If the new product comes with a custom high-fidelity sound system, it would not be too much.

Third move, size. Vidda's official Weibo asked netizens for help: "Is there a way to shrink the oversized power adapter?" Then they posted a picture of a compact gallium nitride power adapter, with a hint of arrogance in the question. If the power supply gets smaller, the projector itself might also become more compact, which is quite likely.

Fourth move, energy efficiency. After asking many questions, Vidda hinted at using a new laser to create the industry's first-class energy-efficient projector in a scientific way. This also shows Vidda's trust in themselves, as well as in their "big brother," Hisense, a leading player in laser display technology. With this muscle, Vidda has every reason to show off.

Fifth move, AI. The theme of the launch event is set: "The Wise Fear Nothing - AI is Intrepid," so AI projection is almost a certainty. Hisense, Vidda's "big brother," globally launched an AI TV, so it's not surprising that Vidda is launching an AI projector.

Only these five moves?

If you are familiar with the Vidda brand, you would know that it's hard to say. In 2022, they kept quiet about their three-color laser projection. In 2023, they didn't make much noise about the "three-color laser full set." This year, they quietly "sent their product manager 500 kilometers high into space."

It's hard not to wonder if this guy has some other moves up his sleeve that he hasn't revealed yet!

Netizens say that the C1 Pro released by Vidda in 2023 is considered the "King of Machines," and Vidda's product manager, Jiang Long, who went to space, says that the new product in 2024 will be the "Emperor." So, what exactly is the "Emperor"? Let's find out on May 8th!
