In the wake of the artificial intelligence wave, the demand for solid-state drives (SSDs) is on the rise, surpassing that of hard disk drives (HDDs).

The latest research report indicates that SSDs offer faster speeds, particularly suited for AI training tasks.

Compared to HDDs, SSDs boast access speeds approximately 10 times faster, making them increasingly favored in the field of artificial intelligence, with a trend towards replacing HDDs gradually emerging.

Industry insiders reveal that due to poor market conditions last year, HDD manufacturers reduced supply. However, with the advent of the AI wave, by the latter half of 2023, demand for HDDs exceeded supply, driving prices upwards.

According to forecasts by Jibang Consulting, NAND flash memory contract prices are expected to grow robustly by around 13-18% by the second quarter of 2024. Among all product lines, enterprise-grade SSD contract prices are projected to increase by 20-25% quarter-over-quarter, showing the highest growth rate. s_17fe7ace5df7423e83f6b4ddb31e83b2.jpg
