On April 11th, Skyworth Group's founder Huang Hongsheng remarked in an interview regarding the continuous decline in TV turn-on rates in China, stating that AI will bring people back to television.

According to a research report from Forward Industry Research Institute, since 2016, China's TV turn-on rate has plummeted from 70% to less than 30% by 2022.

Simultaneously, data released by Lotoo Technology indicates that in 2023, the global TV market witnessed a record low in brand shipments of complete TV sets in nearly a decade; Omdia's data also indicates a 12.4% year-on-year decline in shipments in China's TV industry in 2023.

In response, Huang Hongsheng expressed that the emergence of AI technology will change the current scenario of "less TV viewing".

"From eating, playing, exercising, to watching dramas, everything will be powered by AI. Smartphone screens are too small, they can't compete with TVs in terms of AI. Therefore, this wave of AI technology will bring family members back to the television," remarked Huang Hongsheng.

However, Huang Hongsheng further pointed out that this will require a process and cannot be achieved overnight. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0411%2Feb1ad68aj00sbrdwy00bdd000go00cpg.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg
