April 9th - Reports have emerged from Xiaomi SU7 users indicating that the in-car network shuts down three days after purchase.
In response, Xiaomi Automotive has provided clarification.
Apparently, in accordance with regulations from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, SIM cards used for vehicle connectivity must undergo real-name authentication. Failure to complete this authentication within three days of purchasing the vehicle will result in automatic disconnection of the in-car network.
Xiaomi suggests that before picking up your car, you should open the Xiaomi Car app, click on "Car Services" - "Real-name Registration for Car Networking SIM Card" to complete the real-name registration for a better car usage experience.
If you haven't completed the real-name authentication promptly after picking up the car, you can open the Xiaomi Car app, click on "My" - "Settings" - "Account & Security" - "Real-name Authentication for Car Networking SIM Card" to complete the real-name registration. After submitting the information, wait for the review. Once the review is approved, the real-name authentication will be completed, and the car's network will be automatically activated.
