April 7th - Toyota has taken the Crown to new heights, quite literally. Following the sedan, crossover, and SUV versions, they've now unveiled a "Off-Road Package" targeting outdoor enthusiasts.
Based on the crossover model, the vehicle retains its overall crossover style. It adopts a contrasting color scheme, with the official description pairing khaki with black. As for aesthetics, we'll leave that judgment to you.
In terms of interior design, Toyota has equipped the Crown Crossbound with glossy black accents. The model name is laser-etched on the dashboard on the passenger side. The vehicle still features a seemingly integrated dual-screen setup and retains an ample number of physical buttons.
To give this vehicle some off-road capability, Toyota has given it a makeover. For instance, it's been lifted by an inch (about 2.5 centimeters) for better ground clearance, equipped with 18-inch two-tone wheels, and fitted with 245/60 R18 all-terrain tires. The rear stands out with striking red mudguards, while matte-finished protective covers adorn the wheel arches.
Next to the license plate, there's a rear fog light installed, which enhances safety during outdoor off-road adventures. Users have the option to install a roof rack to bolster its carrying capacity. Additionally, a trailer hitch has been added to the rear of the vehicle, capable of towing up to 1653 pounds of cargo.
In terms of power, the vehicle still features a hybrid powertrain composed of a 2.4T engine and offers all-wheel drive. It is priced at $45,000, which is roughly equivalent to 320,000 RMB.
