The ranking of the top 10 congested cities in 2023 is as follows: Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Changchun, Nanjing, Xi'an, Shenyang, Lanzhou.
Beijing isn't just the most congested city, but also the one with the longest commuting time and distance.
In 2023, the average commuting time in Beijing exceeded 44 minutes, with an average commuting distance surpassing 12 kilometers.
It's also worth mentioning that despite ranking last, Lanzhou has seen the fastest increase in congestion. In 2023, its congestion level rose by 36 places compared to 2022, marking a significant change.
