Top 10 Companies in China for AI Invention Patents: Tencent Takes the Lead, Huawei and OPPO Make the List

On April 22nd, IPRdaily released a ranking of Chinese artificial intelligence invention patent enterprises, with well-known companies such as Tencent and Huawei making appearances in the top 10.

Tencent leads the pack with 15,626 patents, closely followed by Baidu with 13,723 patents.

Ping An Group secures the third spot with 13,139 patents, while State Grid Corporation ranks fourth with 11,567 patents.

Huawei claims the fifth position with 5,966 patents, while Ant Group and Alibaba hold the sixth and seventh positions with 4,381 and 4,103 patents respectively.

JD.com and OPPO stand at eighth and ninth positions with 3,815 and 3,743 patents respectively, while China Mobile rounds off the top ten with 3,709 patents.

Tencent's top position comes as no surprise, as Pony Ma has emphasized the importance of AI, stating, "AI was undoubtedly the focus of last year and the entire industry.
