Tokyo University Cancels Entrance Ceremony Due to "Bomb Threat" Email

According to the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, Meisei University, a private university located in Hino City, Tokyo, has decided to cancel its scheduled entrance ceremony on April 1st after receiving a "bomb threat" email.

The Hino Police Station stated that the university had previously received an email threatening to "create an explosion at the entrance ceremony on April 1st." Reports indicate that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department will conduct an investigation into the "bomb threat" email.

Meisei University stated that the total number of new students, including undergraduates and graduate students, is approximately 2,000. The entrance ceremony was originally planned to be held in Hino City, Tokyo, with an expected attendance of about 4,000 people, including students' parents and teachers.
