This year's 618 event on Tmall included an additional two billion yuan subsidy for trade-ins. Just two hours into the event, the volume of orders for trading in old appliances for new ones increased by four times.
It is reported that this year's Tmall 618 event, with the added trade-in subsidy, supports instant depreciation deductions for orders, resulting in a general increase of over 15% in the valuation of old digital products like phones, computers, and cameras.
Furthermore, this year's Tmall 618 event also introduced support for cross-brand and cross-category trade-ins for digital products and home appliances such as phones, computers, cameras, robotic vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, TVs, and electric vehicles.
