On May 28th, according to a post from the official WeChat account of "Guozi Xiaoxin," Asia's largest semi-submersible vessel, the "New Guanghua," safely unloaded Asia's largest cylindrical FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit) "Hai Kui 1" at the anchorage of Dayushan in Guangzhou. It will rendezvous with Asia's first deepwater pipeline platform, "Haiji 2," in the Luhua Oilfield in the Pearl River Estuary Basin.
It is understood that "Hai Kui 1" is Asia's largest cylindrical "offshore oil and gas processing plant" designed and built independently by China. With a maximum diameter of about 90 meters and a height equivalent to nearly 30 floors, it has a designed displacement of 100,000 tons and a maximum oil storage capacity of 60,000 tons, capable of operating continuously at sea for 15 years without returning to dock.
Previously, the "Haiji II" successfully completed sliding down and accurately positioning in the sea area of the Pearl River Estuary Basin. It can process nearly 5,600 tons of crude oil per day, injecting new vitality into billion-ton deepwater mature oil fields, and driving the sustainable development of China's offshore oil and gas industry.

Information indicates that COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers, as a global leader in specialized vessel operations, has transported a total of 7 FPSOs to date. The diameters of the platform bases have increased from 60 meters in the early days to 74.3 meters for the "Hai Yang Shi You 7," 87.5 meters for the "Hai Yang Shi You 6," and now to 90 meters for the current "Hai Kui Yi Hao," continuously setting new records.
