After a period of teasing, vivo has officially announced the release date of the vivo X100 Ultra and vivo X100s new phones.
It is reported that these two new devices will officially arrive on May 13th this year. As the launch date approaches, vivo has gradually released a lot of information about the new phones for preheating.
Based on the official photos of the actual device, the vivo X100s continues the design philosophy of the previously released vivo X100 series, featuring a circular rear camera module and a sleek overall design.
Additionally, the vivo X100s sports a flat side frame while incorporating a front-facing straight screen, giving it a more angular aesthetic.
According to official data, the brand-new vivo X100s has a thickness of 7.8mm.
In terms of specifications, the vivo X100s and vivo X100s Pro will debut with the flagship Dimensity 9300+ chip.
The Dimensity 9300+ features a full large-core CPU architecture, with an octa-core CPU consisting of 4 Cortex-X4 super large cores with a maximum frequency of up to 3.4GHz, and 4 Cortex-A720 large cores with a frequency of 2.0GHz.
In terms of generative AI capabilities, the Dimensity 9300+ supports AI inference decoding acceleration technology on the edge, along with the Dimensity AI LoRA Fusion 2.0 technology, providing a more efficient and personalized generative AI experience.
The Dimensity 9300+ supports cutting-edge generative AI large models, offering users a multi-modal generative AI innovation experience at the edge with text, image, music, and more. It also supports the AI framework ExecuTorch, accelerating the development process of edge generative AI applications.
In terms of specific specifications, according to previous leaks, the vivo X100s will feature the Dimensity 9300+ processor, a 1.5K ultra-narrow display, a battery of around 5000mAh, and support 120W fast charging.
The vivo X100s Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ processor, a rear camera setup consisting of IMX989+JN1+OV64B 100mm APO lenses, a built-in 5400mAh battery, and supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
As for the flagship vivo X100 Ultra, its design continues the style of several previous models, but with a curved screen and a body backshell that adopts a curved transition edge design, visually narrowing the overall design.
In terms of specific specifications, the vivo X100 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, a Samsung 2K E7 curved screen, a high-density battery of 5400/5500±mAh with 80W fast charging support. The top-of-the-line version will also support satellite communication function, offering three configurations: 12+256GB, 16+512GB, and 16+1TB.
In terms of imaging specifications, the vivo X100 Ultra brings a combination of a 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super telephoto lens with an HP9 sensor; a 50-megapixel LYT-900 main camera that supports CIPA 4.5-level gimbal stabilization; and a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens combined with the latest V3+ image chip.
According to Vivo's Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, Ji Jingdong, the Vivo X100 Ultra is dubbed the "Image Overlord," originally developed internally at Vivo under the codename "Thanos." This new device is a "professional camera" with overwhelming advantages, albeit it also conveniently functions as a phone, even capable of making satellite calls.
