News on April 23rd raised concerns in the Netherlands about the departure of the photolithography giant ASML, but now there's a significant turnaround.

According to reports, the Dutch chip equipment manufacturer ASML has signed a letter of intent with the city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands, planning to expand near the northern airport of the city, with the capacity to accommodate up to 20,000 new employees.

Previously, the Dutch government announced a €2.5 billion plan to improve infrastructure such as housing, education, transportation, and power grids in the area where ASML's headquarters are located over the next few years.

In addition to infrastructure improvements, the Dutch government will take action to ease the tax burden on businesses.

Previously, ASML had expressed to the Dutch government its intention to expand or relocate elsewhere, with France and the United States being alternative locations. s_e001cf71022b46ea8597abd33044b115.jpg
