On May 9th, according to public records, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. recently applied to register multiple trademarks in the Pura series.
These include PuraPad, Pura Drive, Pura Key, Pura Watch, PuraView, Pura Ultra, Pura Wear, with international classifications covering transportation, scientific instruments, and jewelry watches.
It is worth noting that not long ago, Huawei was found to have registered the trademark "PuraOS," which is currently awaiting substantive examination.
From this series of actions, it appears that Huawei may be planning to develop Pura into a comprehensive system, similar to a sub-brand, with a complete set of independent product systems.
They may even create a standalone operating system, based on a modified version of HarmonyOS, to differentiate it from other models such as the Mate series.
Of course, Huawei's move may also be just for trademark protection, and we'll have to wait for the official announcement for specifics.
Huawei officially announced on April 15th that the P series has been upgraded to the Pura series, marking the end of the 12-year run of the P series and the beginning of a new era.
