On March 11th, it was revealed that a new Xiaomi device with the model number "24053PY09C" has been certified, likely to be the standard version of the Xiaomi Civi 4.
Previously, another variant of the Xiaomi Civi 4 was certified under the name "Satellite Mobile Terminal," indicating support for satellite communication and likely to be released as a high-end version.
According to the blogger Digital Chatter Station, the Civi 4 series will offer options for a flat screen and a slightly curved 2.7D screen, both with a resolution of 1.5K and equipped with eye protection technology.
In terms of imaging, there's an epic upgrade with a 50-megapixel main camera, and it will also feature a co-branded imaging system from Leica, the same as the flagship.
Additionally, the phone will have a large battery of over 5000mAh and support ultra-fast charging of up to 100 watts.
The high-end version features a design with a metal frame and glass body, aligning closely with the appearance of the Xiaomi 14 flagship series. It could even be considered as the youth version of the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
But the most important aspect is its core performance. The Xiaomi Civi 4 is expected to debut with the Snapdragon 8 series flagship platform "SM8635", officially named Snapdragon 8s Gen3. It shares the same lineage as the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, with a CPU configuration comprising 1x3.01GHz X4 + 4x2.61GHz A720 + 3x1.84GHz A520, and an Adreno 735 GPU.
The CPU frequency of the Snapdragon 8S Gen3 is slightly lower compared to the 3.3GHz CPU frequency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3. However, it offers better battery life and thermal performance.
As a result, the Xiaomi Civi series will address its performance weaknesses and emerge as the most powerful all-around model in the series' history. This improvement is expected to significantly enhance its market performance.
