On May 1st, Guangqi Aion officially announced the start of a limited-time promotion in May. The 430km range version of the Aion Y Plus model is now available for 99,800 RMB with "all-inclusive" package, including full insurance coverage and a maximum trade-in subsidy of up to 10,000 RMB, matching the original price of the 310km Star model at 99,800 RMB.
Although the official 430km range version of the AION Y Plus has not been announced, all signs point to it likely being the AION Y Younger version (previously priced at 109,800 yuan).
The AION Y Younger is positioned as a compact all-electric SUV with a personalized design. It features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch central control screen, electronic gear shift lever, 2.0㎡ panoramic sunroof, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, 540° intelligent panoramic imaging, and a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat.
In terms of powertrain, the Star Edition/AION Y Younger is equipped with a front-mounted single motor with a maximum power of 100kW and peak torque of 176N·m. It is fitted with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a pure electric range of 430 kilometers under CLTC conditions, and comes with a lifetime free three-electric system warranty.
After its launch, the new car will compete with the BYD Dolphin. Coincidentally, on the same day, BYD introduced a policy for the Dolphin offering zero down payment and free full vehicle insurance. Between these two cars, which one would you choose?
