On March 27th, the GAC Aion E9 Electric Welfare Edition was officially launched, priced at 409,800 CNY.

Welfare vehicles are designed for individuals with mobility impairments, offering easy access for wheelchair users. The standout feature of the Aion E9 Electric Welfare Edition is its pioneering detachable welfare seat in China. This seat can rotate out of the vehicle and lower to the ground. It comes equipped with a variety of features, including 18-inch rims, LED headlights, swan-wing cockpit, crystal gear knob, heated and cooled cup holders, and second-row passenger-side compartment seats (with ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage functions). The second-row seat on the passenger side is designed as a welfare seat, with a weight capacity of 150kg. It can rotate out of the vehicle and lower its height to facilitate easy access for individuals with disabilities. Impressively, this seat can detach from the vehicle and convert into a wheelchair. It's paired with a GMC 400 2-speed DHT transmission, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 8.8 seconds.

The new car will feature a 25.57 kWh battery pack, offering a pure electric range of 136 km under CLTC conditions, and a combined range of 1032 km. Under WLTC comprehensive conditions, the electric fuel consumption is 6.05 L/100 km.
