On May 1st, it was reported that at the end of April, in the Hangar of Eastern Airlines Technology Co., Ltd., the "ABC" trio gathered for the first time, consisting of an Airbus A330, a Boeing 737, and a Chinese-made C919 aircraft, all undergoing scheduled inspections.
The C919, registered as B-919A, is the world's first delivered aircraft of its kind, marking the first time a domestically produced large aircraft has undergone a 4A inspection. The so-called aircraft scheduled maintenance is a regular inspection that must be carried out to ensure the safe and efficient operation of civil aviation aircraft. In addition to daily pre-flight, turnaround, and post-flight checks, the aircraft undergoes a more in-depth regular "physical examination."
It is divided into different levels such as A-checks and C-checks. For the C919, an A-check is performed every 700FH (flight hours), 500FC (flight cycles), or every 4 months (whichever comes first). China Eastern Airlines' technicians are already qualified to perform C919 4A checks and below. The tug towed B-919A to the hangar.
Currently, the maintenance team for the domestically produced C919 aircraft at China Eastern Airlines Technical Aircraft Maintenance Department consists of 6 technical engineers and over 60 maintenance personnel.
During the first 1A check after China Eastern Airlines put the C919 aircraft into operation, a team from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) was dispatched to collaborate with China Eastern Airlines' maintenance staff.
Now, all the A checks on various C919 aircraft, including the recently conducted 4A check for the first time, have been independently completed by China Eastern Airlines' maintenance personnel.
It is reported that the planned period for the 4A check of B-919A was from April 26th to 29th, and all tasks were completed by April 29th. The aircraft was confirmed to be "healthy," and the release certificate after the A check was issued. B919-A is being pushed into the hangar for a 4A inspection.
