On April 17th, we learned from Ford China that the all-new generation of Mustang Convertible Sports Edition and Hardtop Performance Edition are set to debut together in the Chinese market, making their first appearance at the Beijing Auto Show on April 25th.
This marks the first time Ford officially introduces the Mustang convertible model to the Chinese market.
In terms of design, these two new cars continue the Mustang's 60-year legacy of classic design language, showcasing a strong muscular presence. What sets them apart is their more distinct lines compared to previous models.
The low, sleek horizontal lines at the front end give the vehicle a wider visual presence. The design of the grille evokes memories of the original Mustang, while the iconic tri-bar taillights highlight its "Pony Car" lineage.
It's worth noting that the all-new Ford Mustang hardtop performance edition and convertible sports edition have received special upgrades with the exclusive GT Performance Appearance Package upon entering the Chinese market. This package includes a larger, more aggressive styled front grille, along with 19-inch wheels and active quad exhausts.
The interior of the new car will feature a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch touchscreen, both angled towards the driver for optimal visibility. Drivers can customize the displayed content according to their preferences. Additionally, ambient lighting in the cabin can be adjusted based on selected themes, while the dashboard display interface corresponds to each driving mode.
In terms of power, both the new Ford Mustang hardtop performance version and the convertible sports version are equipped with the fourth-generation 2.3T EcoBoost turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 220 kilowatts and a peak torque of 453 Newton meters.
